How to measure your hat size

How to measure your head for the perfect Andora hat size:

At Andora, we want to ensure you find the perfect fit for your head. Here's a step-by-step guide. Or check out our size guide right away!

You will need:

  • A cloth measuring tape (in centimeters).
  • If possible, assistance from another person for accurate measuring.

Choose your style

Determine how you'd like to wear your Andora hat. We offer two styles: Traditional and Halo. Each style has a different measurement method.

Option 1: Traditional style

Step 1. Place the cloth measuring tape around your head over your occipital bone (furthest part on the back of your head).

Step 2. Bring the tape around, about 5 mm above your ears, moving towards the forehead with the tape to meet just above the eyebrows.

Step 3. Ensure the tape sits comfortably; this is how the hat will sit on your head.

Step 4. Note the size indicated on the measuring tape. If between sizes, we recommend sizing up.

Option 2: Halo style

Step 1. Place the cloth measuring tape around starting from the back of the head just above your neck.

Step 2. Bring the tape to the front, about 5 mm above your ears, and position it at the top of your forehead (beginning of the hairline).

Step 3. Ensure the tape sits comfortably; this is how the hat will sit on your head.

Step 4. Check the size on the measuring tape. If between sizes, we recommend sizing up.

Confirm your size

  • Check the measurement and select the corresponding size from our sizing guide. Andora sizes are in centimeters and inches.
  • If in between sizes, we recommend sizing up. You can adjust the fit using the built-in adjustable inner band in our hats.
  • If you have any questions, feel free to ask us. E-mail us with your measurements at info@andorahats.com

Additional tips:

  • Ensure the measuring tape is not too loose or tight. Your hat must fit comfortable to you.
  • For accurate measurements, follow the specific instructions for your chosen hat style.
  • In case you don't have a fabric measuring tape, opt for a string or a piece of yarn to measure the circumference around your head. After marking the yarn around your head, lay it flat on the ground or a table, then measure the straightened out piece of yarn using a measuring stick or a regular measuring tape.

By following these steps, you'll be well on your way to finding the perfect Andora hat size, tailored to your style and comfort.
